Case Counseling
Our case-counseling program sets us apart from many other legal service providers. Each volunteer is assigned a supervising attorney, a staff attorney with a number of years of experience navigating poverty law in the District. Each case-counseling attorney is available to talk about a plan of action, give advice about the best people to contact, or merely listen to your ideas and frustrations.
Indeed, after each intake session you should contact your supervising attorney to:
1) confirm any follow-up needed;
2) seek advice on a client’s legal
matter; and
3) discuss any potential conflicts
or problems with assisting a client.
